Hertz 87.9

Hertz 87.9 is Bielefeld’s campus radio. Their program is produced by students of the University and the University of Applied Sciences and is aimed primarily at the student audience. The radio broadcast can be heard in Bielefeld (and a bit further out) on the VHF frequency 87.9 MHz; additionally, it can be streamed online. Hertz 87.9 broadcasts 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The Hertz 87.9 offices are in the main building of Bielefeld University in room C02-220. The transmission mast is located on the Telekom building at Kesselbrink.

The student body of FH Bielefeld supports Hertz 87.9 by financing staff positions affiliated with the AStA Referat for public relations. Furthermore, the members of the AStA Referat for culture are part of the program committee of Hertz 87.9.
